Nestled in an alpine valley, the hotel is situated in Medels in the Rheinwald-Splügen region of the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The hotel enjoys easy access to its magnificent natural surroundings because it is situated on the axis of the San Bernardino Pass and tunnel. In the summer, Italy is reachable by the Splügen Pass (Passo dello Spluga) in about 10 km. The main attractions, including Crestawald Fortress Museum, the Rofla and Via Mala Gorges (waterfalls, canyon and museum) and the Aquandeer spa and thermal bath are reachable in less than 15 minutes.

Habitación

The pleasant rooms are fitted out with a lot of wood and have been newly renovated and furnished in keeping with the local style. In addition to an en suite bathroom with a bath or shower, WC and hairdryer, in-room amenities include a TV, radio, direct dial telephone and WLAN Internet access. Individually regulated heating units also come as standard in all accommodation.

Fans of the fairway can head to the nearest golf course, which is approximately 42 km or around 40 minutes away by car.

Cómo llegar

From the A13/E43 motorway between Bellinzona, San Bernardino and St. Margreten, Sargans, Chur take exit 29 Medels and follow Urschlagada/Hauptstrasse for 150 m. The hotel is situated on the left-hand side and free parking spaces are at guests" disposal. In summer (end of May/June to mid-October) guests can also reach Splügen/Medels im Rheinwald via the Splügen Pass from Italy by the SS36 from Chiavenna. In this case, join the A13 motorway in Splügen in the direction of San Bernardino and take the next exit 29 Medels and follow Urschlagada/Hauptstrasse for 150 m. By public transport: take an IC train until Chur and from there a bus in the direction of Bellinzona until Splügen-Medels im Rheinwald (58 minutes) or a regional train until Thusis and then the bus (30 minutes). From the bus stop the hotel is the first building 200 m on the left. From Bellinzona, take the bus in the direction of Chur until Splügen-Medels im Rheinwald (70 minutes).
