This country house hotel is the result of the complete refurbishment of a 1920s Madeira Quinta, which has belonged to the same family for over four generations. The refurbishment added the Casa de Chá do Santo da Serra teahouse and then the golf clubhouse. Its architectonic beauty, elegant decoration, comfortable and cosy atmosphere all combine to make it an ideal place for holidays dedicated to golf or simply for a quiet stay for guests wishing to commune with nature. Today the establishment comprises a total of 22 guest rooms and suites and features a lobby, 24-hour reception, a bar and a restaurant.
This historical country house hotel is situated in the picturesque village of Santo da Serra. The establishment is surrounded by laurisilva forests - which have been a designated UNESCO World Heritage since 1999 - where some of the island's most beautiful levadas and veredas can be found. The centre of Santa Cruz can be reached in around 10 minutes by car, whilst Funchal is approximately 25 km away. Madeira Airport is approximately 10 km from the accommodation.

From the airport follow the signs to the Express Way - E.R 101, towards Funchal / Sta. Cruz. After approximately 600 metres, take the exit towards St(tm) Cruz (este) / Stº da Serra / A de Pena, and follow Road 21 and the signs towards Santo da Serra Golf - orange coloured signs. This will lead to the E.R. 207. Pass the main entrance of the golf course on the right-hand side, then follow the road for another 1 km towards the centre of the village. At the roundabout, go straight ahead and the hotel will be just a few metres down the road - a blue building on the left-hand side.
