The hotel was built at the turn of the last century in the style of an old Viennese townhouse and has been privately owned since 1971. In 1985 the establishment was completely renovated and in 1988 additional junior suites, an elegant and fully equipped conference hall, a leisurely lounge with reading room and an attractive bar was added, with panoramic views of the famous St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Votive Church and the Town Hall.
The hotel is situated in Jörger Street, around 15 minutes' walk from the Ring Road and University. There is an underground station close to the hotel.

From airport Wien-Schwechat: take the A4 (East Motor Way) towards Vienna. Follow the 'Zentrum (City Centre) sign. Exit the motorway into Schuttel Street, follow this road which eventually becomes Unteren (lower) and then Oberen (upper) -Donau Street. Keep left to make a left turn at the fork over the bridge. Follow this road until reaching the Votiv church on the right. Move over to the right to turn right at the next intersection after the church. Stay in the right-hand lane to turn right after the Sankt-Anna Kinder Spittal (Hospital). Keep left and turn left at the next road, go under the S-Bahn bridge and the hotel is on the right. West motor way: drive along this motorway and come through the subway to Schönbrunn Palace. Turn left and drive to the 2nd set of traffic lights and turn right into Maria Hilfer Street and continue until reaching the Westbahnhof (Railway Station) (Europaplatz). Turn left onto the Gürtel (the outer ring), continue straight and see a big church on the right. Turn left at the 3rd traffic light after having passed the church (at the Underground - Alser Str.) there is also a Dutch Flower Market, this is Jörger Street and the hotel is on the first block on your right.
