HOTEL:
Bangkok's first truly contemporary hotel is the creation of Christina Ong, owner of COMO Hotels and Resorts, also responsible for London's coolest city hotel, The Metropolitan on Park Lane. In keeping with COMO Hotels and Resorts commitment to innovative design, Singapore's Kathryn Kng has fashioned the hotel's sleekly modern interiors. Staff uniforms have been designed by world famous designers such as Comme des Garçon. The hotel is air-conditioned and has 171 rooms in total. Facilities provided by the hotel include a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange service, a cloakroom, lift access, a hairdressing salon, a bar, pub, disco and restaurant. Additionally, the hotel offers conference facilities, Internet/WLAN access, room and laundry services and a garage and car park for guests arriving by car.
SITUACIÓN:
The hotel is located on the South Sathorn Road, set back from the Alliance Française and French Embassy in the heart of Bangkok's central business district. The capital's major shopping areas, night markets, sky train and subway are close at hand. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 40 km from the hotel while Don Mueang International Airport is just 30 km away.
HABITACIÓN:
The hotel offers Metropolitan rooms which, at 54 m² each, are noticeably larger than other Bangkok hotels. The Terrace Suites include private patios and the Executive Suites have extra living rooms. There are also four penthouse suites and one two-bedroom presidential fiefdom. In-room facilities are at the cutting edge of the industry including a minibar/mini-fridge, yoga mat, hairdryer, COMO Shambhala bathroom amenities, Egyptian cotton linen, fine goose down duvet, CD player and disc library. Furthermore, the rooms are en suite with a bathtub and shower and feature direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio and Internet access. Guests will also find tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, an individually regulated air conditioning unit, a safe and seating area. The rooms have either king-size or double beds.
DEPORTES:
COMO Shambhala at the hotel offers complimentary yoga and aerobics classes daily and various signature treatments developed at COMO's headline retreat, COMO Shambhala at Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos. Experienced therapists deliver sophisticated remedies, from massage to facials. Facilities include a fully equipped gym, separate male and female steam rooms, a hydro pool, 20 m heated outdoor lap pool and yoga studio. A poolside snack bar and parasols are also provided.

Glow Restaurant offers extraordinary healthy cuisine and the headline restaurant Cy'an delivers indulgent Mediterranean flavours using the finest ingredients. The members/hotel residents only Met Bar serves up a definitive cocktail selection, mixed in with sounds and grooves from resident/ visiting DJs, as well as fashion and art happenings. All meals are served from a set or à la carte menu. |
